I’m the one sitting in front,
I take all these people around.
They tell me where to go,
it’s my job, I never say no.

The sun has yet to rise,
but I’m already on the road,
in the evening I still drive,
and now the night’s getting cold.

I’m a people’s man,
I’ve seen them all.
One is reading the papers,
another is having a call.

Some got stories that never end,
some can’t wait to get out again.
some got the fear in their eyes,
some just seem to live in disguise.

They can run but never hide,
I’ll know what they’re made of
by the end of their ride.

I’m the one sitting in front,
I take all these people around.
They tell me where to go,
some might shoot me,
well, who knows?
